Orphanage – Disabled Centrum
The
Sisters of Saint Paul de Chartres

The orphanage currently shelters 62 orphans

Including:

Children of the streets, children abandoned by their families because of their disability and children of destitute families in order to allow their parents to work.

Most of them are children from young unmarried mothers who want to remain anonymous in order to find a new start in their life. Because the Vietnamese mentality does not accept irregular union.

These children can not be adopted because of the non-official status of this institution. This situation may change in the near future, but for the time being, the orphanage is their home. They are obviously resident. The sisters are their “replacement” mother.

Children are often sheltered as early as the age of 1 or 2 days.
